his hometown, with the title of "Master of Melody". Along with his 1969-75 bandmenbers: Tom Evans, Joey Molland, Mike Gibbins, and Bob Jackson,
they were once hailed as "The New Beatles". Their story, however, as quoted by a life-long friend "... is a Tragedy of Shakespearean Proportions."

I'm sure there are those who will say, "I don't see what all the fuss is about." And to some degree, after personally learning over 2,000 cover songs, I can see your point. There are hundreds and even thousands of great songs. But this song has a degree of complexity and simplicity that's just uniquely mystical. Take a look at the Clay Aiken Live Version and look at the violin player with the white badana sitting in the middle of the string section. I think she is a good example of what the fuss is all about; it's a taste of Heaven.
